Precautions Indian Railways could take after the lockdown is lifted
Following the announcement of the nation-wide lockdown the Indian Railways has put a halt to its operations.across the country, but once the pandemic subsides, the national transporter could gear up to restart, here’s how:
The most popular and easily obtainable safeguard - face masks - will be made mandatory for passengers.
Practice already, at most airports, passengers entering stations will have their temperatures taken to prevent people with flu like symptoms from infecting others
Of course, running a train is subject to people using them, so the trains would depend on how the lockdown is lifted - if it's a phased out strategy, the trains would also mimic the Centre’s plan.
