Mercedes Benz looks to double India sales over the next three years

Luxury car sales continue to grow even after the festive period, indicating strong structural demand and giving confidence for higher sales projection, said Martin Schwenk, managing director of Mercedes Benz India.

Mumbai: India's largest luxury carmaker Mercedes Benz, which has retained the top spot for six years now, is looking to double its sales in the country over the next three years and to that end has lined up the launch of 15 new and updated cars in 2021.The company is eyeing at least 40% growth in sales over the next two years with an aim to rescale its peak annual sales witnessed in 2018 by 2022.
